depends, i was going to be a CNA as well and in the mean time i would go to school studying occupational therapist assistant. a CNA is a great way to enter into the health field and you don’t have to do nursing if you don’t want, it can be anything within the health field. there are so many different opportunities in the health field. i have learned throughout my small life, it’s an environment where it isnt as difficult to not find a job (unlike most other employers including retail, banks, and even sometimes doctor’s offices where they sometimes will stereotype, judge people, sometimes are racist, or chose people with the most experience and it leaves the rest of us in pergatory).
if you fit the qualifications and have finished your degree, you meet employers along the way during your internship and you will most likely have the opportunity to have a job.
i am having the same problem as you (i guess) in many ways, i have found that some of the most difficult careers to pursue are within the health field and anything within law, though these two are the highest paid careers and i see why lol.
in your case, my suggestion would be to stay working as a CNA and continue going to school for something in the medical field, you could pursue something which i myself am interested in ‘occupational therapist assistant’ , or you could pursue ‘physical therapist asssitant’, umm.. what else, radiograpghy or radiography tech, cardiovascular tech, respitory care, there are so many careers in the health field which could easily entail you to start off as a CNA.
if you possibly want to pursue something in dental (an example), i would start off as a desk clerk at a dentist office, and if you don’t have experience in clerical go to school for a couple months to get an office assistant certificate, work in a dentist office and work up from there. sometimes it can get so hard especially if you don’t know what to do in life, but if you want a satisfying, high paying career you have to get out there and do your research and try out everything.
right now this is what im going through and just giving you some of my experiences and input hope it helps.

You need an RN to get anywhere !
If you can be a good manager, try doctors’ office, as a medical assistant, etc.
