February 20, 2010 – 4:58 amYou can be a
1. Drummer for a Band
2. Session Drummer for Bands or Solo Artists. These guys are called “Independent drummers”. They are basically temporary workers that record your drum parts in studios for your CDs and sometimes go along on tours with you too for playing live gigs. You hire these guys and you pay them too.
3. Drum Teacher
4. Drum Major…these guys lead the Drum Corps
5. Drummer in a Drum Corp

good advice from the guy above ..idoit
i’ll give you a respectable answer mate, The Top 3 Career’s in Drumming would be Drumming in a Band, Drumming in an Orchestra which i class as different from a band because Orchestra are more know for playing score to Plays and musicals so people come to watch the actors and not you like if you was in a band
Finally would be teaching Drumming but all of them will go down to a mix of three fix for you to be succesful Talent, Work and Luck
You have to be talented, you need to work really hard to keep improving and learning and finally you have to have a slice of Luck
I would say that being a drum teacher is proberbly the only job where you can guarrenty regular income yet i doubt you would be able to be a drum teacher to the level that you was making enough income to live on.
hope this helps
