  2. Now a days you need two years of college! Get your two year degree in criminal Justice. Make sure you study hard and get good grades. Most likely you need in get into a training program and be certify before you apply for a job. Here in New york State most municipals belong to civil service so you will have to take their test and be one of the top three.
    If you want to be a state police officer (state trooper) you will need a four year degree. It’s all depend on what you’re interested in doing. :–#)

  3. Contact your local police department and see if they have a “Ride Along” program. If they do you will be teamed up with an officer and get to spend a few hours with them while they are on the job.
