What Sort Of Test Should I Take To Find Out What I’d Like To Do For A Career?

I don’t know what I want to do, so to give me a little ‘insurance’ when I sign up for college, my Math, Chem I, World HIstory, and Lit&Comp classes are honors.

  2. There should be some folks at college who can administer the Strong Interest Inventory. It will give you some idea, though in my opinion, only a vague one.
Personally, and based on experience, I’d recommend that you take what classes interest you, at a speed that allows you to do well.
Don’t go for just the easy or fun stuff, because everybody can do that… y’know? ;-) It sounds like you’re good at math and chemistry, so perhaps chemistry is a good place to start. But I’d have a look at the courses that are taught, take some challenging “core” classes that you’re capable of (Calculus is good for a lot of stuff, and probably something you do well), and don’t make up your mind until you have to.
FYI, I didn’t make up my mind for a LONG time. And I ended up with two simultaneous Bachelor’s degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology, and a Master’s in Computer Science.
Do what you want to do, but challenge yourself and do your best! Sorry if this advice is vague or unhelpful.
