What Sort Of Test Should I Take To Find Out What I’d Like To Do For A Career?
February 14, 2010 – 10:52 amI don’t know what I want to do, so to give me a little ‘insurance’ when I sign up for college, my Math, Chem I, World HIstory, and Lit&Comp classes are honors.

There should be some folks at college who can administer the Strong Interest Inventory. It will give you some idea, though in my opinion, only a vague one.
It sounds like you’re good at math and chemistry, so perhaps chemistry is a good place to start. But I’d have a look at the courses that are taught, take some challenging “core” classes that you’re capable of (Calculus is good for a lot of stuff, and probably something you do well), and don’t make up your mind until you have to.
Personally, and based on experience, I’d recommend that you take what classes interest you, at a speed that allows you to do well.
Don’t go for just the easy or fun stuff, because everybody can do that… y’know?
FYI, I didn’t make up my mind for a LONG time. And I ended up with two simultaneous Bachelor’s degrees, in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology, and a Master’s in Computer Science.
Do what you want to do, but challenge yourself and do your best! Sorry if this advice is vague or unhelpful.
