im not sure if i stated that question right. but i would like to know what are some professions that help to find life on other planets, do they make much money, and what would i take in school?

There has been an organization for quite some time called S.E.T.I., or the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, which seeks life outside Earth by monitoring the night sky for patterns that could indicate signals sent by other beings. They have helped pave the way for some technological advances, but as yet have not had any success in their primary goal.
    Another big and opening possibility is the field of astrobiology. Only in recent years has this become a serious subject. Currently, top scientists are under pressure to determine the places in our Solar System that are most likely to harbor life. We haven’t got the resources necessary to start exploring every nook and cranny, so astrobiology aims to make that search much easier by ruling out as much stuff as possible and narrowing our search.
    Still more programs are in their beginning stages, and need people like you to advocate for them and help them gain government funding so that they can become a reality.
