I like to work with my hands… i.e. carving creative pumpkins, painting, basic carpentry… I like doing it… Most people would just consider such things a hobby, but I really am trying to find a career, and thats the only kind of thing I think I would like to do with my time if I had a choice… any careers that you can think that would go with these things…? THx

anyone who has corresponded on here with me might already know that I was raised rescuing and rehabilitating abused and abandoned farm animals with my father…now that I’m older I still feel the need to reach out and help…I’m taking an on-line class in pet first aid and my life’s goal (besides being a good mother to my children someday) is to open a safe haven for “unwanted” animals of all types, however I don’t expect to be able to do that anytime soon…being a recent high school grad I’d like to start thinking about furthering my education…I need to be able to continue working throughout any college I might attend (although right now I’m working as a housekeeper, and I tried getting a position as a nanny but that didn’t work out-mom’s tend to prefer that you be a certain age before nanny their children, which is understandable-I’d really prefer to work with animals during college but w/out college degree I can’t)
what should I do-during & after college?
I don’t want to be a vet

I got fired from my job 2.5 years ago. I was immature, had a bad temper, and learned alot since then. I have a college degree but haven’t been able to find work. I went through a depression/suicide.
Now i’m trying to get back into the work force. I been isolated and have no references. How can i get a job if i don’t know anybody?

I’m 19 and I live on my own so I need something that is a little more then flipping burgers are wendys. I need something where I make at least $12/hr to support myself. How Can I Return To Employment After Being Off Work For 2 Yrs Due To Mental Illness?

For the past two years I have suffered from very severe depression, and have not worked for nearly 2 years.
I left my job due to illness. I am feeling better now and would like to return to employment. However I don’t know where to start! I am worried about employers will say because of the ‘stigma’ I don’t want to work in my previous career (social care) as I don’t think I would able to cope with the stress.
I have no other significant work experience and post 18 qualifications in any other field.
I also only want to work part time (flexible hours) due to my health.
What should I do? Help!
(BTW I’m UK based)
