But half of the companies I worked for (small pharmaceutical companies) no longer exist. What should I write so these potential employers don’t think I’m just making up my experience? Similarly, what do I do if my old bosses at companies that do still exist no longer work at these companies? These hangups are making my job search rather difficult.

I was looking for work but I didn’t keep a list of who I applied to. I just received a questionnaire asking if I was available for work and for proof.
Most of my search was through social networking (in the business sense) and I couldn’t provide dates and times if I wanted to.
