There are many very good analytical methods in practical psychology to find out the natural strengths and weakness and general personality traits, as for instance aptitude test, and tests to uncover normally hidden aspects of your person. Some of them are really rigorous and most very accurate and reliable, as most employers now a days use psychological profiling as a tool for their selection procedure of their staff. You can find many such tests in the Internet, whereas one simplistic one I can tell you about. It is simply dividing an A4 size paper into four parts and naming them as: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, and therefore the acronym SWOT – this is what this test is called. You can then write in each quadrant what you regard is what in your life. This sounds simple, but in fact this is just a way to kick start your personal analyser within, to know your person better.
This is good to start with your strengths as they can then work to feed, or compensate for your weaknesses, until you reach a state of good state of balance.

i.e. If you’re good at Maths you should consider a career as: An accountant, Economist, Finance, Actuary, Statistics, Researcher.
If you’re good at Writings find a career as: a Journalist, an Editor, a non-profit Grand Writer, etc
If you’re good at Communicating find a career as: a Salesman, a Public Relations specialist, a Marketer, Mass Communications, Teacher, etc
If you’re good at an art: a Musician, a Music Businessperson, a Graphic Artist, etc.
If you’re good at sciences: an Engineer, a Doctor, a Veteranarian, a Dentist, a Research Scientist
Just look at the classes you get the best grades in, and get a degree in that subject.
