It’s difficult on the creative side of things. But there are jobs as secretaries, cinema ushers, video store people…
Now, cinema and TV are both broad fields (and both different). Any degree that offers both in a broad sense is useless. (I took film and TV, most of my co-graduates are working in hotels or restaurants)
If you want to make nature documentaries, get a biology degree. If you want to do special effects, maybe do computer graphics degree, or a pyrotechnics vocational course.
If you want to write film reviews or become an academic, then a film and TV degree might be worth it. If you can get into UCLA or USC or NYU, then go for it.
But a film degree from any except the top schools means nothing to most people in the industry. It may be a chance to create a portfolio and meet a few contacts, but nothing more.
I know less about TV, but the BBC for instance has more Biology degree and finance people working for it than film degree people. Some talk show hosts and news guys have History or Journalism degrees instead.
