February 27, 2010 – 10:54 pmim going to college and i am taking classes for computer engineering. if i get my bachelors in computer engineering, will i be able to find a career as a hawrdware engineer?

Ah YES, I would expect though that you will need to focus yoru courses on then the BIOS and Firmware and Electronics in yrou major. Speak to a Professor or Mentor and then be sure to look into the MONSTER.com and see what qualifications a hardware engineer really needs to perform the tasks. ALSO, look into getting a student subscription to IEEE.org they are a super resource to understand what you are getting into and looks great on a resume to get into any engineering, elect or software or hardware.
With your bachelors remember thought you may start out doing software or something else for a little while until you get enough training specifically in hardware if you haven’t taken the pertinent courses.

Sure if you can prove that you understand electronics and hardware design and not just software design. The IT field is full of those people already.
