  2. first learn about the different careers that interest you
For hundreds of different types of jobs—such as lawyer, engineer, event planner, teacher, actor, producer, broadcast journalist, engineer, mechanic, chef and nurse—the Occupational Outlook Handbook tells you:
    the training and education needed
    earnings
    expected job prospects
what workers do on the job
    working conditions
In addition, the Handbook gives you job search tips, links to information about the job market in each State, and more.http://www.bls.gov/oco/
just click on the link then pick a career, they are listed in alphabetical order.
after you read about a career call someone who has that career in your community and ask if they will meet with you.
you will find that most people love to talk about their careers, the good and the bad as well as their schools, past experience and why they made the choices they did.

  3. First off, I am a senior in high school. So I understand your situation a bit.
-I like to check local universities and see what majors they offer (Under academics and undergraduate. I like to research in what occupations I can get with those degress, the type of classes I’ll have to take, etc.
    -Occupational Outlook Handbook
    -http://www.collegeboard.com/csearch/majors_careers/profiles/
(A very helpful site with majors and career information @ collegeboard.com–same people that give the SAT)
(It’s a helpful site–by Princeton that explains what you’ll be doing on the job at the career you choose. They dont have a humungous list of careers but substantial and I think you’ll find what you want there)
-Find books, look for recources! Check out College Major Books! (College Majors for Dummies that’s what I own!)
    Good luck!

  4. I would give you a producer job. Coordinating with others in the theater, movies, and television would be a good idea for you. Go to college and major in mass media, film, or journalism.

  5. Depending on where you live or if you’ll travel there are several colleges that specialize in media arts. The one near where I live is Five Towns college and there is another in Connecticut. See if there are schools like these near you.
