Don't get too self-absorbed. It will not serve you well in the long run. In general, people really don't care about those things. They care about the job you do for them. Keep working. Keep changing jobs ONLY when the money is better, it is a vertical move, and the benefits improve. You'll find your way but you can only do this by continuing to work. A busy person is much more in demand than a sloth.

My husband was questioning his career path the same way you are a while back. My father-in-law sent him "48 Days to the Work You Love" and it really helped him to feel better about his career.

I guess this is a very common problem, and you should not sweat about it too much.
From school time, what is your favorite subject, what subject do you score highest, what subject do you do really well without putting in too much effort...as in your have gift and talent in? The answers to these questions would give you some hints on what you are good at.
Also, at work, what did your boss and colleagues complement you for the job you have done, when a fellow colleague come to you to ask for help, what type of question do they ask you? For example, you are good in Mathematics and your colleague come to you for help with some complicated calculation. All these will hint you what you are known to be good in.
Bill Gates said that he is a lucky man, and the reason is that he gets to do what he likes which is also something he can make a good living in. Same here, if you are good in something, and you can make a good living doing that, you are very fortunate. Naturally, you will love it, and nothing can beat it. Can you think of something better?
Dream and goal motivate one to strive harder to reach the new heights. Do you have dreams and goals? If not, start thinking about them now. If you are aimless, you will never be motivated because you do not know what you want.
I hope you can take some time to think what you want. Compare yourself to someone in the same line of work, and think of how to be as good as them and if possible, better than them.
