How Can A Engineering Graduate Find A Career Related To Advertising, Media Or Marketting?

i am 2009 batch graduate (B.Tech) of ISM, Dhanbad. I am very much interested in advertising, media, marketting or related creative and interesting jobs.

  2. It is not a good combination. The skills and talents required are entirely different.I can not see many successful technical person in advt. mktg.or media.

  3. I’m not really sure what use you’d get out of engineering for this type of industry, but you could always go into one sector of a business and move over into another once you’ve got the skill.
    Engineering is a very respectable degree, even if it isn’t as relevant as one in say business or marketing. If you can find a career where you have to train, you’ll usually find things like apprenticeships in advertising, maybe marketing, and they are likely to take you on anyway.
    I’d say a good idea would be to enrol in a distance learning course, maybe not a degree but some sort of diploma in marketing etc or management will give you an edge.
    If you can show creative aptitude you also have an advantage. All I can say is re-do your CV to be very business orientated, if you can. If not, just apply for jobs and hope for the best. Your A level choices or grades could also help, even if you have no experience in the business field
